Featured Projects

ENVIRONMENTAL COMPLIANCE TECHNICAL SUPPORT - Fort Belvoir, Virginia
SES provided environmental compliance technical support to comply with Fort Belvoir’s Municipal Separate Storm Sewer System (MS4) permit during Base Realignment and Closure Act (BRAC) construction. We reviewed project designs and plans, erosion and sediment control plans and permit applications; inspected and monitored project sites; developed mitigation plans; performed compliance, administrative and reporting activities; and supported overall environmental compliance on BRAC construction projects. Compliance support was also provided in the areas of wetland permitting, drinking water and waste water, landfills, SWMUs, and the Installation’s Military Munitions Response Program.

EMERGENCY RESPONSE - Fort Campbell, Kentucky
We responded to a hydraulic oil spill on the installation by removing coated tree limbs and fluid from a stream surface. Confirmatory soil sampling was performed to test for BTEX, MTBE and petroleum hydrocarbons.

CDD LANDFILL COMPLIANCE MONITORING - Fort Belvoir, Virginia
SES provided regulatory compliance monitoring at Cullum Woods Sanitary Landfill and Theote Road Landfill, and semi-annual compliance inspections at both landfills to identify any erosion problems and make repair recommendations.

ENVIRONMENTAL COMPLIANCE PROGRAM SUPPORT - Fort A.P. Hill, Virginia
SES supported the Directorate of Public Works, Environmental and Natural Resource Division, at Fort A.P. Hill in the areas of solid waste compliance, spill response, Military Munitions Response Program, and Operational Ranges Assessment Program.
